Watch IfA‘s Stephen Briggs Speak at SSA’s Economics of Soil Event
Stephen Briggs was asked to speak at the parliamentary event ‘The Economics of Soil: Private Asset or Public Good?’ co-hosted by the SSA and Rebecca Pow MP at Portcullis House, Westminster, on 18 March 2019.
As well as managing the Soil and Water team at Innovation for Agriculture, Stephen is a practical farmer, and has been providing farm business consultancy throughout the UK and internationally for over 20 years. Stephen works with private companies, NGOs, Governments, and local authorities to develop innovative sustainable food production and conservation programmes integrated with other land use systems.
Stephen and his team at IfA are leading soil and water management innovation in the UK, and examples of their current work can be found in the ‘soils’ section of this website. He believes that there are huge opportunities to engage stakeholders and farmers and further advance their understanding of our most vital resources.
